HOWARD COUNTY - Fire officials have contained a grassfire that sparked up in northeast Howard County on Friday morning.
Our friends at KBYG Radio in Big Spring reported that the 10 acre fire appears to have started around 10:30 a.m. with a "hot spot" inside a cotton module in a field.
The fire then spread quickly to surrounding grass and brush.
Officials were able to quickly control the fire and are burning off the remainder of grass inside their perimeter.
