BIG SPRING - Two people were busted with drugs and stolen weapons in Big Spring on Sunday.

An officer tried to stop a vehicle in the 900 block of East 3rd Street around 12:30 p.m. after noticing it had no front license plate and the driver was acting suspicious.

After a short chase, 31-year-old Michael Roberson got out and took off on foot.

His arrest led officers to the Scottish Inn on East 3rd Street where they put 32-year-old Comanecki Thacker in cuffs.

They also found marijuana, hydrocodone, two stolen firearms and 390 grams of meth.

An investigation revealed Roberson was also wanted by the FBI in Abilene for conspiracy to deliver meth.

He was taken to Abilene for a federal arraignment.

Numerous charges have been filed against Thacker including unlawful possession of a firearm and drug possession.
