Amarillo, TX - Icy road conditions are being blamed for an overnight wreck that killed three people and left several more in the hospital.

The pileup happened on I-40 near Vega just before midnight Friday night.

It began when two of the semis collided with each other, blocking the road causing the rest to crash into them.
