PERMIAN BASIN - Red Ribbon Week is this week in the Basin and the Midland Independent School District and Ector County Independent School District are encouraging students to live drug-free lifestyles and to be healthy.
Each school in Midland ISD will be holding a number of activities each day this week to promote drug-free lifestyles.
Those include crazy socks day, camo day, neon day, crazy hair day and even pajamas day.
Ector County kicked off their Red Ribbon Week by holding a pep rally on Monday morning.
Little ones at Lamar Early Education Center walked around their playground to "be healthy."
