Hot air balloons take to the sky this weekend for a good cause

Posted: Updated:

Several hot air balloons will take to the sky this weekend, all for a good cause.

As the hot air balloons go up, the Family Care Foundation hopes the cost for medical expenses goes down.

The local non-profit helps fill the gap for those with excessive medial bills. But, the Chairman of the Board says it's not easy keeping up with the growing demand.

"Sometimes as the economy slows, donations slow but the demand gets bigger, so it's kinda an inverse deal. So, those are the times you really need more help," David Jones told us.

All events this weekend will be weather permitting.
