Deadly Crash in Andrews

ANDREWS - A deadly crash in Andrews has left one man dead and another man injured. 

DPS officials tell NewsWest 9 that 37-year-old Andres Ramirez was driving a Chevy pick up Eastbound on State Highway 115 near the intersection of Andrews Loop 1910. He had one passenger with him identified as 48-year-old Jaime Augustin Torres.

Another vehicle with a tow unit was traveling Northbound on Andrews Loop 1910. DPS officials say the driver of the vehicle with the tow unit, Raymundo Dominguez,  ran the stop sign and was hit by the Chevy pick up.

The passenger in the Chevy, Jaime Augustin Torres, died at the scene. The driver, Andres Ramirez, was taken to Medical Center hospital where he is in critical condition.

The accident is still under investigation.
