Sheriff's Office Unveils New Armored Car

ECTOR COUNTY - Criminals might do a double take if they see this. The Ector County Sheriff's Office unveiled their new armored car.

The department received it as part of the 10-33 surplus program.

The 600,000 dollar vehicle was given to the Sheriff's Office by the military.

So it didn't cost taxpayers a dime.

Sheriff Mark Donaldson tells us it will be used for only emergencies.

And in case your wondering the armored car has been nicknamed "The Beast".
