HOBBS - A Hobbs man got into hot water for trying to run from police Wednesday night.

26-year-old Isaac Garza is now facing charges of evading arrest.

Officers responded to a shots fired call from the Hobbs Apartments on East Clinton around 8:30.

When they got to the scene they found Garza laying on the ground with a gunshot wound in his leg and a large knife next to his hand.

While they tried to get him to talk, cops were alerted about another shooting victim in the same place.

Garza started walking away then broke into a run when they told him to stop.

Officers were able to catch up with him.

They were also able to find the other victim who was airlifted to a hospital in Lubbock with a gunshot wound to the head.
