ODESSA – A Permian High School student was arrested on Wednesday after having numerous weapons.
ECISD officials tell NewsWest 9, a 16-year-old male student had two guns, ammunition and a set of brass knuckles in his backpack.
We're told that campus administrators received a tip about the guns and campus police immediately investigated the tip. Officials say that due to the nature of the tip, they chose not to lockdown the campus.
The student is charged with three counts of Places Weapons Prohibited, which is a third degree felony. The student will also face the maximum administrative punishment as well.
