MIDLAND/ODESSA - We all hear the stories about what goes on in an emergency room.

But, in "Untold Stories of the ER," these stories are taken to a whole new level.

"You go into the emergency room from the doctors point of view and basically see the case. You get some bizarre cases sometimes," Dr. Sudip Bose, an Emergency Room Physician and former Major in the U.S. Army, said.

Dr. Bose is a local celebrity in Midland/Odessa and reenacted two stories of two different patients.

One was a late night dancer who got into a fight at a club and landed a heel to the cheek.

The second is of a man who came in from an auto accident after hitting a cow in his convertible, the cow flipped up and landed on the man, then defecated on him.

"You know, we see a lot of auto accidents but this one was pretty different, it's not every day you see someone with a heel out of their cheek or covered in feces," Bose said.

Dr. Bose says putting together the whole show was quite an experience and enjoyed learning how much it takes to work together and make a great product.

"Whether you're working the emergency room here or acting out a case, all the hospital staff and in that case the camera crew. It's a team of many, many people working together to make the whole story and I'll probably stick to my day job as a doctor. I don't think I'm getting an Oscar off this but it was fun getting everyone together and acting out the case," Bose said.

He says the show will be entertaining as well as educational.

"It just gives a unique glimpse into what it's like and I think there are aspects of it that are realistic," he says.

The premiere will air Sunday, October 6 at 8 p.m. on Discovery Fit and Health.
