Former Greenwood ISD Curriculum Director Released on Bond

WISE COUNTY, TEXAS – NewsWest 9 is continuing to follow the investigation into a former Greenwood administrator.

She was arrested on charges of having an improper relationship with a student.

NewsWest 9 learned on Tuesday that D'Laine Young was released from the Wise County Jail on a $50,000 bond.

The Midland County Sheriff says the relationship between young and the now 23-year-old happened between 2009 and 2011.

The victim was still enrolled in school at the time the incidents occurred.

According to the police report, Young called the victim to her office, closed the door and began kissing him.

The two also engaged in sexual intercourse and deviant sex in oil field lease roads and even in the old Luby's Parking Lot in Midland.

She and her husband, Doug, who was the former superintendent at Greenwood ISD, resigned in June after six years with the district.

They were paid a total of $195,000 to leave the district.

On Tuesday, Greenwood ISD responded to the charges filed against the former curriculum director.

In a statement, Greenwood ISD said, "D'Laine Young is no longer employed with the Greenwood Independent School District. GISD will fully cooperate with law enforcement."
