MIDLAND COUNTY - We have new details about a high speed chase that happened in Midland County on Monday afternoon.

We're told 34-year-old Shane Stogsdill was arrested.

He is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Deputies say it all started when they responded to an accident at Kirkland Brothers.

When they arrived, they learned Stogsdill got into an argument with 52-year-old Jim Spoon.

Deputies say Stogsdill got into his minivan, hit spoon and drove off.

He was spotted and that's when he led deputies and troopers on a high speed chase.

He was eventually stopped on East Highway 80.

Stogsdill is now being held in the Midland County Detention Center.
