Amarillo, TX - Three people are injured after a high-speed collision on US 287 north of Amarillo.

At around 3:00 Tuesday afternoon, police say a pick-up traveling south at a high rate of speed rear-ended another pick-up on the highway near the 24th Avenue overpass.

We're told a motorcycle driver approached the scene of the initial crash, but was unable to slow down enough to avoid colliding into one of the wrecked vehicles.

Three people were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
