NEAR SEAGRAVES - The Texas Department of Public Safety says a West Texas man has been charged with intoxication manslaughter after the pickup truck he was driving slammed into another, killing five people.
After the accident, both vehicles came to rest in a ditch. DPS Sgt. Bryan Witt says Ramon Aguilar left the scene of the accident in the first hours of Sunday morning near Seagraves, some 60 miles southwest of Lubbock. He says state troopers later found Aguilar and took him to a hospital for treatment.
Along with Aguilar was Ramero Aguilar, who was ejected from the truck and airlifted to a hospital.
Ramon Aguilar also is charged with intoxication assault and felony failure to stop and render aid. Witt said he had no information on a bond amount for him.
