While the status of the Playboy Bunny sign in Marfa is still up in the air, another art installation is coming under scrutiny.

"Prada Marfa" has been a hot tourist spot for about eight years but the fake store is never open.

The installation, created by two Scandinavian artists, features six empty bags and 20 right-only shoes to prevent theft.

It has now been labeled by TXDOT officials as an illegal outdoor advertising sign, which could lead to its removal.

This decision joins the recent debate to have the controversial Playboy art installation taken down.
