Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst wants to improve highways across the State.
Senator Kel Seliger was appointed to the Senate Select Committee on Transportation Funding.
During the 83rd Legislative Session, Senator Seliger co-authored Senate Bill 1747 which addresses the serious concerns of residents in oil and gas producing counties.
The bill was meant to serves as a foundation for dealing with transportation needs in energy sector regions of the state.
Seliger represents 37 counties from the Panhandle to the Permian Basin. His district includes Amarillo, Midland, Odessa and Big Spring.
