PRESIDIO – U.S. Customs and Border Protection Officers made a large drug bust in Presidio on Monday.
Officials seized 290 grams of heroin.
We're told the seizure was made just after 8 p.m. on Monday when a Ford F-150 truck entered the port from Mexico. Officials selected the truck for a secondary exam and a drug sniffing dog gave a positive alert to the driver of the truck.
As officials were preparing to search the driver, she turned over two bundles of heroin she had concealed in her bra.
The driver, 37-year-old Blanca Madrid of Odessa and 34-year-old Rigoberto Madrid were arrested and turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.
