ODESSA- Funeral arrangements have been made for an Odessa high school student who was killed in an accident earlier this month.

Alicia Levario died when the driver of the car she was riding in, ran a right light. 17-year-old Edgar Planco is now being charged with manslaughter.

On Friday, Alicia's mother spoke exclusively to NewsWest 9, she said she wanted to make sure Polanco was held responsible for the deadly accident.

On Tuesday, an arrest warrant was issued for Polanco but he won't be officially charged with manslaughter until his medical condition improves. He remains in critical condition.

When NewsWest 9 talked Michelle Levario, Alicia's mother, she said there was one major question weighing on her mind.

"I would just ask him why, why if he had that choice to stop, why didn't he stop? And what gave the right to take my daughter with him? Think twice of the situation you want to put yourself into because we're not promised tomorrow," Levario said.

"Manslaughter is a second degree felony. He will receive anywhere from two to 20 years. It'll be up to the judge, up to the court," Steve LeSueur with the Odessa Police Department, said.

The viewing for Alicia Levario will be held all day Wednesday, September 18 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Her funeral will be on Thursday, September 19 starting at 10 a.m. at Acres West Funeral Chapel.

The three other people hurt in the wreck all remain in stable condition.
