HOWARD COUNTY – Two people are dead after a weekend accident in Howard County.
We're told the accident happened on Interstate 20 near mile marker 170 on Sunday morning around 11:30 a.m.
DPS officials tell NewsWest 9, a 2009 Ford F-150, driven by Victor Paulk, was traveling west on Interstate 20 when the truck lost control while trying to navigate a turn on the Interstate. Paulk then traveled across the center median and hit a 2000 Ford Escape traveling eastbound on the Interstate.
The two people in the Escape, 51-year-old Cordell Hale of Arlington, Texas, and 53-year-old David Allardyce III from Concord, California, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Paulk was transported to Midland Memorial Hospital with injuries.
There's no word if any charges will be filed in connection with this accident.
