MIDLAND COUNTY - A Midland man was killed following a morning motorcycle accident in Midland County.
The accident happened in the 5800 block of West Highway 80.
Officials tell NewsWest 9, the driver of a blue Dodge Magnum, 26-year-old Ishaenay Jennings of Midland, was headed westbound on the Highway 80 north service road when she made a left turn to reach a stop sign on the service road before heading south for a left turn onto eastbound Highway 80.
As Jennings was attempting to turn onto Highway 80, her vehicle collided with a motorcycle that was already heading westbound on Highway 80.
The driver of the motorcycle, 45-year-old Malcolm McPherson of Midland, was pronounced dead at the scene. We're told that McPherson was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
We're told that Jennings will be cited for failure to yield.
Officials are continuing to investigate the accident.
