ODESSA - One man is behind bars on numerous charges after a traffic stop on Thursday.
ECISD officials tell NewsWest 9, an ECISD police officer conducted a routine traffic stop near 20th Street and West County Road.
However, the driver, later identified as Tavachie Grimes, fled on food and hid in the apartments near the intersection.
Police then set up a perimeter and after another chase on foot, Grimes was arrested.
With the help of an ECISD K-9 Unit, officials say they found drugs, cash and a weapon in Grimes' car.
Grimes is facing numerous charges including intent to distribute controlled substance and evading arrest.
