ODESSA - It took less than a minute but two men in Odessa will likely spend more than that behind bars after they broke into a 7-11 and took off with some beer and cigarettes. They may think they got away but the whole thing was caught on camera.
"Two guys break into a 7-11, they didn't steal a whole lot," Susan Rogers with Odessa Crime Stoppers, said.
$30 worth of merchandise will cost them a lot more.
"They've got all of the damage, they're going to have to pay that back, there's over $800. It's a state jail felony, you're going to have to deal with the court costs. You're going to have fines. You're probably going to get some jail time out of the whole thing," she said.
The most baffling part of this whole crime is how the thieves made their way into the 7-11 on Dixie.
"This guy just full blown hits the door with his body and shatters the entire door before he goes through it and goes in," Rogers explained.
The other perp follows behind him. Rogers said it wasn't a long, drawn out scenario. The burglars went straight for what they wanted and left.
"The entire event took less than a minute for them to get in and get out," she said.
