CRANE - NewsWest 9 has an update on a story we've been following for two years.

It surrounds a Texas Ranger investigation into a Crane Police officer accused of taking inappropriate pictures and his case went to a Crane Grand Jury on Thursday.

It's a story NewsWest 9 first told you about in November of 2011.

The Texas Rangers opened an investigation on Officer Bruce Williams.

Officials kept tight-lipped at the time but there were reports from viewers of computers being taken out of the Crane Police Department.

Investigating officers, nor the Texas Department of Public Safety in Austin, ever responded on if any charges were brought against Officer Williams in the last two years.

However on Thursday, the Crane District Attorney informed NewsWest 9 that Williams went before the jury on charges of tampering with or fabricating physical evidence and improper photography or visual recording.

No other details surrounding the alleged charges were released.

The district attorney also said that the grand jury "no billed" Williams on Thursday on those alleged charges because there was no evidence.
