BIG SPRING - A Big Spring woman was arrested on Wednesday night after a bizarre, botched robbery attempt at a 7-11 convenience store.
48-year-old Sheila Barber is now facing robbery charges.
Officers got the call around 11:45 p.m. that the 7-11 on Owens Street was being robbed.
When they arrived, Barber was leaving the store and the clerk told cops she was the crook.
Officers found out that she had gone into the store with a hoodie and a pillow case covering part of her head.
Barber tried to make the clerk believe that what appeared to be a small flashlight under her shirt was really a gun.
When the clerk refused to hand over the cash, she removed the pillow case and asked for just $20 or $40.
