Hobbs Police Searching For Armed Robbery Suspect

HOBBS, N.M. – Hobbs Police need your help locating an armed robbery suspect.

The robbery happened on July 27 at the Dollar General Store in the 500 block of East Bender just before 10 p.m.

Hobbs Police tell NewsWest 9, the suspect approached the clerk, with a steak knife in hand, demanded money from the clerk.

After he got the money, the man ran out of the store and sped off in an older model white SUV.

The man is described as a white male, 5'6" tall and weighs about 190 pounds. Officials say the man was about 40-years-old. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and white plaid shorts with white shoes. He also had a bandage wrapped on his lower left wrist and arm.
