LEA COUNTY, N.M. - Authorities in Lea County have made an arrest in connection with a shooting that left four people injured.
The Lea County Sheriff's Office tells NewsWest 9, 20-year-old Parrish Chee of Hobbs has been arrested on charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and shooting at a building.
The shooting happened around 10:30 p.m. in the 2000 block of North Bensing Road, close to Hobbs on Tuesday night.
When deputies arrived, they found 49-year-old Karen Teel, 24-year-old Jerry Teel, 23-year-old Omar Gutierrez and 18-year-old Joe David Delao with various gunshot wounds.
Jerry Teel was treated at the hospital and released. The other three were taken to the hospital then transferred to Lubbock for treatment where they are all listed in stable condition.
Authorities served a search warrant at a home in the 6900 block of North Country Road early Wednesday morning in connection to the shooting.
Three people were found at the home that may have a connection to the shooting and Chee was one of those individuals.
Officials are still investigating the shooting.
