Alexa Williams joined the NewsWest 9 team in June 2013 and she is currently a NewsWest 9 Reporter. Alexa is no stranger to Texas, she grew up in San Antonio and now she looks forward to starting her career in the Permian Basin.

Alexa originally discovered her passion for broadcasting in the fifth grade where she was selected to host her elementary school's morning announcement show, Longs Creek TV.

Alexa attended college in San Angelo where she graduated from Angelo State University in 2013, majoring in communications and minoring in mass media. Alexa originally attended Angelo State as a volleyball player, but by her junior year, she rediscovered her love for broadcast and was given the opportunity to intern for the universities television station RamTV and later held the position of Program Director. She also interned at KSAN, a local station in San Angelo, where she gained a lot of behind the scenes experience, including producing shows every week. 

Alexa looks forward to improving her reporting skills in the Permian Basin and is excited to be a part of the NewsWest 9 team.

In her free time she enjoys hanging out with friends, cooking, playing volleyball and going to the dog park with her Husky, Brody!
