ODESSA - People are getting creative, trying to make a buck in this boom, but one business venture caused a few heads to turn in Odessa on Wednesday.

"It's not that they're making money. It's a life of choice," One Odessa resident told NewsWest 9 about Pro-Xotics, a mobile bikini car wash.

"I personally don't want to see it," Cara Rawls, said.

Kimberly Fowler and Rebecca Salter started working for Pro-Xotic after seeing an ad on Craigslist.

"It was all on Craigslist and it was just starting up," Salter said. "We gave them our phone numbers and everything and pictures," Fowler said.

Pro-Xotic is out of Lubbock. The women said they make the trip to Odessa a few times a week to get business.

"There's a lot of money out here. There's a lot of oil, oil guys. We're girls in bikinis, washing cars. They love it," they said.

One man we spoke to agreed.

"Well, I've been out in the oil field. I think they're real hot right now," he said.

The business set up shop in the parking lot between Twin Peaks and Wal-Mart. The opinions of passers-by were mixed.

"I do think they could put on more clothes. I'm a modest person," Rawls said.

But not everyone was opposed.

"Whatever it takes. If you got to show some flesh, show some flesh," one man told NewsWest 9.

The women say there have been comparisons to another provocative business from the Hub City: Lubbock Fantasy Maid Service.

"We are fans. They're not in competition with us because they're not washing cars," Salter said. "In fact, that is something we would be doing too."

However, the manager of Pro-Xotic said the women strictly wash cars.

"We run a legit business. No sexual harassment, nothing like that," Cody Fiorenza said. "We are not doing anything illegal." Salter added.
