HOBBS, N.M. - Trying to smuggle drugs into a Hobbs prison landed one woman behind bars.
Ramona Lucero was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of bringing contrabands into a correctional facility.
Lucero was visiting the prison when they found three balloons on her that held heroin, meth, and weed.
Prison officials say they overheard an inmate talking on the phone to Lucero about the plan for her to deliver the drugs.
That inmate, who is currently serving time for burglary, is also facing charges for the failed smuggling attempt.
