MIDLAND COUNTY - One of America's most brilliant innovations is traveling across the country and it made a pit stop in West Texas on Monday.
The Deep Sea Challenger is the only operational submarine in the world that can go down to the deepest part of the ocean.
It's making its way from Los Angeles to the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution in Massachusetts and it's making several pit stops on the way.
The team transporting the machine says they want to spread the message of innovation, exploration and deep ocean science.
