ODESSA - A local liquor store hit by thieves and now the hunt is on to find them. The incident wasn't the first time they stole from the store, they also verbally threatened the clerks.
Two males walked into the Pinkie's Liquor store near the intersection of Maple and Tenth Street. Surveillance cameras show the pair take four bottles of Fireball Cinnamon Liquor. Police say as they're walking out, one of them taunts the store clerks.
"They say to them you guys ought to call somebody and then they laugh and go out the door," Odessa Crime Stoppers Director, Susan Rogers, said.
Two women witnessed the theft and they only wish to be identified as Tina and Nina.
"We see these two boys running out of Pinkies and everybody is like, OMG, they just did a beer run, a run or whatever," Nina said.
They took action and snapped pictures of the bandits and their tag numbers.
"The first thought in our minds is do the right thing. You know because that was just ridiculous. For kids to do that," Tina said.
"In this particular case, it hasn't actually helped out with this case, so you know we need to identify the actual actors and not the vehicles," Rogers said.
The store was also hit by one of them in a separate case. On a different day, you can see the man walks in and takes two bottles of Smirnoff 80.
"They may seem like petty crimes but they lead to more things and bigger things. Just like we were talking about if you do a petty theft like this, if you got an extensive record, we can enhance that to a felony," Rogers said.
Police describe the duo as white males in their late 20's, 5'7" to 5'9." One has short hair with no shirt and has tattoos. If you have any information, you're asked to call Odessa Crime Stoppers at 333-TIPS.
