GREENWOOD - A motorcyclist came close to death when he crashed head-on into a semi.
Fortunately, he only walked away with some broken bones.
The accident happened on County Road 1130 and FM 307 in Greenwood.
Officials say the biker went around vehicles that were stopped.
The biker then tried to beat a pioneer tanker that was turning in front of him and the two collided.
The motorcyclist was seriously hurt but was conscious.
Officials say he was wearing a helmet.
He was hospitalized with several broken bones and a broken leg.
Crews had to clean up a fuel leak after the bike punctured the diesel tank.
