MIDLAND - The Midland Independent School District is cashing in on the need for office space.
The School Board is selling their Mashburn Building to Concho Resources for $1.5 million.
The district originally wanted more than $2 million, but instead they'll be getting three years of free rent at the Fasken Center.
The Mashburn Building is currently used for the district's police, athletic and technology departments.
They'll be moving to the Administration building.
It is also home to the Midland Alternative Program, which will now be at the former West Early Childhood Education Center.
