CARLSBAD, N.M. - A storage room was set on fire in Carlsbad to cover up a crime.

According to the Carlsbad Current Argus, the blaze sparked up around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday morning at the electrical supply company of Carlsbad.

Officials say someone pulled the chain link of the fence back, cut a hole in the vinyl outside the building to get into a storage room.

The criminal also took several rounds of copper wire before igniting the blaze.

No one was hurt.

The electrical supply company is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
