KERMIT - New information in the case about alleged law enforcement brutality in Kermit.
NewsWest 9 has learned the Texas Rangers will not be going forward with an investigation.
On Friday, NewsWest 9 reported about an incident involving a Kermit man and the Winkler County Sheriff's Office.
The man's family accused deputies of punching him while he was handcuffed.
Sheriff George Keely tells NewsWest 9, he handed over the video that showed the scuffle along with the reports to Texas Rangers.
He says the Texas Rangers found no evidence to warrant an investigation further into the matter.
The man deputies arrested is facing several charges including assault on a peace officer.
