MIDLAND COUNTY - One man is behind bars after trying to impersonate a police officer.
40-year-old Erik Polk is accused of impersonating a police officer to steal from someone's house.
A woman says she rents the house to a man who is currently in jail.
She told officers Polk and another man came by and demanded his things.
When she refused, she says Polk flashed a badge and told her he was an officer three times.
She was suspicious and called police.
That's when the pair took off in car with three other men.
Officers were able to track them down.
