BIG SPRING - The Big Spring City Council gave a final thumbs up on Tuesday night to an agreement to build a new landfill with the county.
Now they're waiting on the county to sign off on it.
Both the city and county have been haggling over the cost for nearly a month.
Under the agreement, the city requires Howard County to pay for one third of the bill and the city will cover the rest.
The county is still weighing their options and has until August first to make a decision.
