Bond Set for Hobbs Man Accused of Killing His Girlfriend

HOBBS, N.M. - A $1 million bond has been set for a man in Hobbs accused of shooting and killing his girlfriend last week.

34-year-old Marshall Jackson has been charged with several crimes including murder.

The shooting happened last Tuesday morning at a home on East Snyder.

When officers arrived, they found 30-year-old Shamika White with a gunshot wound.

She was taken to the hospital where she later died.

Jackson was also transported with injuries.

He was arrested the next day.

White's body has been sent in for an autopsy.
