BOSTON - A Midland runner is reporting that security was extremely tight in Boston on Tuesday.
Steve Barrones ran the Boston Marathon for the past four years. But this year, he decided to watch instead.
He wasn't hurt. In fact, he left the race early and watched the chaos unfold in his hotel room.
Barrones says he has seen military Special Forces, a sea of law enforcement and an overwhelming number of news stations on the ground.
Barrones says he's still in shock and disbelief but everyone is helping each other out in the best way they can.
Officials are urging everyone to be vigilant
Barrones says he is flying back home on Tuesday night.
