Store Clerk Threatened With Hammer, Gun During Robbery in Midland County

MIDLAND COUNTY - A store clerk was threatened with a hammer and a gun by two people demanding money from him.

The robbery happened Friday night at the Dollar General Store on Highway 349.

According to the Midland County Sheriff's Office, two Hispanic males went inside the store and threatened the worker.

The clerk was trying to cooperate but it apparently wasn't fast enough.

One of the thieves told his partner to pull out his gun.

The two made off with some money but there's no word on how much.

Deputies believe the suspects fled in a green 1990's model van.

Both men are described as Hispanic, 150 to 180 pounds, with short dark hair.

One of the men was in his mid-20's to mid-30's, the man was older in his mid-30's to 40's.

One of them was wearing tan shorts and a black tee shirt with the other in a blue Cowboy's shirt and blue jeans.
