ANDREWS - Students, parents and school faculty in Andrews had a bit of a scare on Friday afternoon when their school had to be put on lockdown.
Around 3:30 p.m., Andrews Police and Andrews County Sheriffs deputies were called over to Devonian Elementary about possible shots fired.
It turned out to be a false alarm.
Officials did a sweep of the school and did not find anything suspicious.
After further investigation, it turned out that a nearby transformer blew out.
