BIG SPRING - City and county officials met in Big Spring on Wednesday to continue their talks regarding a new landfill and who should pay for it.
Both County Commissioner Jimmy Long and Mayor Tommy Duncan told NewsWest 9 that they've still not arrived at a resolution.
But that doesn't mean the door has been shut for future talks.
Duncan says the County and City have worked on several projects in the past but says there will be no hard feelings if the County chooses to seek other options.
"There will be no hard feelings either way if the county decides that's in their best interest to go one way, then that's what we elect County Commissioners to do. If the city decides that's in their best interest to go alone, that's what the City Council was elected to do," Big Spring Mayor, Tommy Duncan, said.
The next meeting between both parties is scheduled for next Wednesday.
