GOLDSMITH - A man convicted in a gruesome murder in Goldsmith will still spend the rest of his life behind bars.

Willie Hurst lost his appeal.

He was convicted of capital murder back in 2011 and sentenced to life in prison.

He was one of four people involved in the gruesome murder of Robert Thornhill back in 2008.

The group admitted to slitting Thornhill's throat, shooting him with a crossbow then burning his body in a Goldsmith field.

The FBI confirmed there was a love triangle between Thornhill, Hurst and one of the women involved in Thornhill's murder.
