ODESSA - An accused murderer in Odessa may have gotten a new trial but he didn't escape his fate.
Johnny Lee Wells was convicted of capital murder on Monday.
This was his second trial.
The first ended in a mistrial after the court found out one of the jurors could not write or read English.
Wells was convicted of murdering Virginia Washelesky in 1990.
Wells was sentenced to life in prison.
