HOBBS, N.M. - A family feud ended with a father throwing down a cop in Hobbs.
Police say 49-year-old Velmond Hughes and his son were arguing over shooting a neighbor.
When police arrived, Hughes pointed and started cussing at them.
We're told when one officer tried to confront Hughes, Hughes grabbed the officer and they both went through a fence.
Police warned Hughes he would be tased if he didn't calm down.
He was eventually arrested.
Hughes is facing charges of disarming a police officer, battery upon a peace officer, resisting, evading and obstructing an officer.
