BIG SPRING - High winds kept firefighters busy as they battled a small but tough brush fire in Big Spring.
The blaze started on Sunday afternoon near Albrook and Thorpe inside the city limits and they quickly spread to the Big Spring State Park.
Our media partners at KBYG Radio tell NewsWest 9, the fire grew to about 10 acres but fire crews were able to keep it from getting any bigger.
Several homes were nearby but none were damaged or threatened at any point.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
