BIG SPRING - Big Spring Fire Fighters were called out to an early morning, wind-driven house fire that destroyed two mobile homes, damaged a third, as well as a nearby pickup.  One person was sent to the hospital.  All of this occurred in the 1200 block of Harding.  The fire was called in around 5 AM.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Big Spring Fire Marshal's Office.  According to investigator Dan Hendrickson, who spoke with KBYG News Saturday morning, what exactly set off the first mobile home fire is not known at this time.  But as the structure became engulfed, high winds quickly spread the flames over to another mobile home next to the first structure.  That in turn spread to a third mobile home and a parked vehicle.

All of the homes were occupied.  One occupant received injuries, but we do not know what those specific injuries were.  Officials say they believe the injuries to be non-life-threatening.

The first two homes were a total loss, according to investigators, the third home and a parked vehicle received minor damage.
