ODESSA - A mother has been arrested on three counts of child endangerment after she left three children in her car last week.
Police say 37-year-old Eloisa Moncayo left three children (ages six, three and one) in her car last week while she went inside the La Tienda Supermarket in Odessa.
While Moncayo was in the store, a man opened the door to the vehicle the children were in and grabbed the six year old by the throat and took the child from the vehicle.
When Moncayo returned to the vehicle, the three year old child told Moncayo what had happened.
The six year old child was later found in the area of Lee and Mable Street walking with the man.
According to the investigation, Moncayo left the children in the vehicle for approximately 15 minutes and left the children alone in the vehicle unattended.
Moncayo is behind bars at the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.
No word yet on any bond.
