ALPINE - A meeting to go over an audit of Alpine's city finances didn't take place on Thursday.
According to City Councilman Carlos Lujan, the city manager, the mayor and two other council members did not attend Thursday night's special meeting.
Therefore the issue has been tabled until Tuesday.
Earlier the Mayor of Alpine responded to claims that city finances have been misused.
According to Mayor Rangra, there is no money missing.
Councilman Carlos Lujan made the claim during a town hall meeting last Friday.
He also criticized the management of Rangra and city manager Chuy Garcia.
The mayor says the $800,000 Lujan claims is missing was actually used to build an animal shelter.
