ODESSA - An early morning accident took the life of an Odessa man and injured three others.
It happened around 12:30 a.m. Saturday morning at the intersection of Hwy 385 and Cottonwood in Ector County.
DPS officials tell NewsWest 9 30-year-old Ruben Hernandez was at a stop sign at Cottonwood when he failed to yield the right of way as he entered the intersection.
His Oldsmobile was then hit by a Dodge truck.
A passenger in the Oldsmobile, 34-year-old Nester Garza of Odessa, was taken to Medical Center Hospital where he died a short time after.
According to the crash report, Garza was not wearing a seat belt.
Hernandez is at MCH with internal injuries but he's in fair condition.
Two people from Andrews who were in the truck were also injured.
27-year-old Samantha Valenzuela and 6-year-old Tyson Valenzuela are both at MCH in good condition.
The driver of the truck was not hurt.
